The reviews are in for Joel Coen's THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH – and it is looking to be one of the best films of the year. You can catch this violent adaptation of the Shakespearean classic, here at the Prince Charles Cinema, daily from 26th December!

The story follow Denzel Washington in the titular role of Macbeth, who sets his sights on the Scottish throne after receiving a prophecy from three witches that he will be the next King of Scotland. Supported by his ambitious wife, the tremendous Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth, the power-hungry Macbeth makes his plans to seize power.

This is the first solo venture for Joel Coen in the Director's chair, without his brother Ethan by his side in some capacity. You can ease any fears that it won't be the same without both brothers, as this haunting, stylised retelling of the Shakespearean saga about murderous ambition and all-consuming guilt, bathed in mist and shot in shimmering black and white is destined to be a favourite this awards season. Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand and Joel Coen? Yes, please!

Don't miss THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH, screening daily from this Boxing Day. Tickets are now on sale for everyone.
