The ordered life of a TV presenter threatens to unravel when she finally confronts her domineering husband about yet another scandalous accusation.

Successful Swedish TV presenter Maria Holinek finds herself caught up in an unwanted scandal as fresh allegations emerge about her superstar academic husband. While travelling abroad together to avoid the media spotlight, Maria’s long-held forbearance finally gives way, revealing a startling inner strength. Mirja Turestedt excels in the lead role, while debut director Caroline Ingvarsson brings a refreshing female interiority to this bold adaptation of Håkan Nesser’s 2013 thriller The Living and the Dead in Winsford.
