Idols | South Korea, Japan, UK | 20 min.
Dir. by Matt Halsall

Kim Min-ha (Hojo Shin) has always dreamed of the spotlight. Now, nearing 30, she’s still chasing a K-pop debut while everyone else sees only her uncanny resemblance to superstar Park Hye-mi (Hojo Shin)—the woman she believes is living the life that should have been hers.

Matt Halsall’s slick, darkly funny short turns that obsession into an increasingly unhinged psychological thriller.

IDOLS made its world premiere at Fantasia before being selected for Sitges, Beyond Fest and Tokyo’s Yami International Film Festival.
