"She's evil… and not just high school evil.”

Bloodthirsty, she seeks revenge through any man who crosses her path, but is challenged when her best friend, Needy (Amanda Seyfried), won´t stand idly by as the body-count rises.

Campy, funny, horrific and truly impressive. After initially receiving mixed critical reception, Jennifer´s Body has become a horror and teen cult-classic as queer and female audiences have reclaimed the title. Ahead of its time, the film is still referenced in Halloween costumes, fan-theories, and video edits as audiences are hungrier than ever for the iconic maneater, Jennifer Check!

Ginger Snaps
2000 108mins Canada (18) Teen / Horror
Directed by John Fawcett Starring Emily Perkins, Katharine Isabelle, Kris Lemche

“I get this ache... And I, I thought it was for sex, but it's to tear everything to fucking pieces.”

A wild and bloodthirsty hound has ravaged through the small town of Bailey Downs, attacking the neighbourhood's pet dogs. When the two teenage outcasts, the Fitzgerald sisters, stumble upon the creature one night, their lives change forever as Ginger is bitten, and her body starts to change.

A true feast of practical effects, 2000s grunge, and snappy one-liners; Ginger Snaps has been credited in hindsight as a predecessor to the “maneater” supernatural woman most famously seen in Jennifer´s Body (2009). A coming-of-age story told in a fresh perspective; for maybe the true terror lies in growing up, or maybe it lies in the bloodthirsty hound who calls herself your sister.
